How to Choose the Right Color Service

One of the most common things I hear is, "I wasn't sure what to book, so I just guessed." Booking the right service matters because it makes sure we have enough time set aside for what you actually want. So here's a plain-English guide to help you choose — and if you're still unsure, there's an easy fix at the end.

If you just need your roots done

A Root Refresh is your regular maintenance appointment — covering regrowth and refreshing your base so your color looks seamless again. If your length and tone still look good and it's really just the roots giving you away, this is your service.

If your color looks dull or faded all over

A Gloss Refresh adds tone, shine, and richness back to color that's gone flat — without a full color application. Think of it as a refresh that wakes everything up. A full Color Refresh goes further, renewing your base from roots to ends for a rich, even result.

If you want brightness, depth, or dimension

This is where highlights come in. A T-Zone Highlight brightens around your face and part — the fastest way to freshen up. Dimensional Maintain (partial highlights with a cut) keeps dimensional color looking intentional between bigger appointments. Dimensional Refresh (full highlights with a cut) gives more coverage and movement. And The Works is the all-in-one — root color, full highlights, and a cut in a single appointment.

If you're changing something dramatically

If you're going significantly lighter, correcting previous color, or completely reinventing your look, that's its own conversation. Reach out first so we can plan properly rather than running out of time mid-appointment.

Still not sure? Don't guess.

Here's the easy fix: text or call the studio at (951) 512-0074 for a quick digital consultation. Send me a photo of your hair now and a photo of where you want to go, and I'll tell you exactly what to book and how much time to set aside. It saves us both time on the day, and you'll walk in knowing we're on the same page.

You can see the full hair menu with pricing here, and

once you know what's right. When in doubt, ask — that's what I'm here for.
