MEET SARAH · FOUNDER OF ASPIRE SALON

Hi, I'm Sarah.

A licensed stylist of 25 years and a certified Reiki Master — blending clean, low-tox hair care with real energy work, all in one quiet private studio in Murrieta.

☾ ☾ ☾

Two crafts, one pair of hands.

For twenty-five years, I've stood behind the chair. For nearly fifteen of them, that chair has been Aspire — my own private studio, built around one belief: that how you're cared for matters as much as what you walk out with. Somewhere along the way, my hands learned to do more than color and cut. I became a certified Reiki Master — and the two halves of my work finally found each other.

THE STYLIST

Clean color, real craft.

Dimensional blonding, lived-in color, extensions, and smoothing — all with low-tox, thoughtfully chosen products. Twenty-five years in, I still formulate every color by hand and treat every head of hair as its own puzzle.

THE HEALER

Energy, not performance.

As a certified Reiki Master, I offer real energy healing and intuitive guidance — the same presence, intuition, and honesty I bring to the chair, brought to the treatment table. No scripts. Just attention.

BEHIND THE CHAIR

I fell for hair at 16.

I'm a second-generation stylist. I started cosmetology school at sixteen, still in high school, fully convinced it was just a means to an end — something to "get me through college." The joke was on me: I fell hard, and never looked back. My specialty is natural-looking dimension — highlights that don't scream "I just had these done." If that's the look you've been chasing, I'm your girl. Aspire was born from a hard moment. When my oldest was a year old, a work situation forced me to choose between my job and being there for my family in an emergency — and I decided I never wanted to make that choice again. So I took out a personal loan, built a schedule around my life, and opened a studio with zero clients in a town where no one knew me. No plan B. Fifteen years later, I still build my business around my family — not the other way around.

MY STORY

I found reiki twice.

Years ago, a massage-therapist friend first introduced me to Reiki. I remember how deeply relaxing it was — but at the time, learning it myself wasn't even on my radar. That changed when I came across a stylist online teaching other stylists how to weave energy healing into the salon. Something in me said yes. I took the course, and the work came more naturally than almost anything I'd done — so I sought out a local Reiki Usui Holy Fire instructor and got certified for real. The process healed something in me. But the real magic was watching what it did for the people in my chair — the exhale, the softening, the sense of leaving a little more whole. A year later I completed my Reiki Master Practitioner training, and hair and healing became one practice.

OFF THE CLOCK

The human behind the chair.

When I'm not behind the chair, I'm cheerfully outnumbered — ours is a blended family of four boys, so the house is loud, the fridge is never full, and someone is always missing a shoe. We're dog people down to the bone, too; we're at two pups now, after saying goodbye to three over the past seven years (and yes, I cried every single time). My husband Brendt is, without contest, my favorite person. If we could travel full-time, we absolutely would — our bucket list of places to see is a mile long and only ever grows. For now we go every chance we get (increasingly for the food), and happily count down to the next trip in between. Speaking of that lobster on my arm — it's a nod to Friends, and to Brendt. He's my lobster. If you know, you know. Otherwise, I'm a forever student: always reading, always trying to be a slightly better human while raising good ones. Books matter enough around here that Aspire has its own little exchange — bring one, take one. And I'll save you the guesswork: I come exactly as I am — sarcastic, filter-free, neurodivergent, and stubborn about good care, mine and yours. If you've been needing a nudge to advocate for yourself, consider this it.

HOW I WORK

Intentional, by design.

Aspire is private, by appointment only, and unhurried — on purpose. The products, the pace, the quiet: all chosen so your time here feels like yours.
